Les Fragments pour une Messe forment un work in progress à géométrie variable, destiné avant tout au concert.
Un Gloria seul pour choeur & orchestre, ou bien avec Sanctus et Benedictus (avec ténor solo), et jusqu'à une Missa brevis plus complète (Kyrie - Gloria - Sanctus - Benedictus - Agnus Dei) pour contralto, ténor, choeur & orchestre, forment les différentes expressions d'une prière d'action de grâce pour le message du Christ qui nous invite depuis plus de 2000 ans à l'amour du prochain, à l'accueil de l'étranger, au réconfort des affligés, au pardon et à l'espérance du lendemain : tout ce qui voudrait nous conduire non à la contrition mais à la résilience, et non à la domination ou au repli, mais à l'accueil, à l'écoute et à la solidarité, bref à la paix, en nous-même aussi bien que les uns avec les autres.
The Fragments for a Mass form a work in progress with variable geometry, intended above all for the concert.
The Gloria alone for choir & orchestra, or with Sanctus and Benedictus (with tenor soloist), and up to a more complete Missa brevis (Kyrie - Gloria - Sanctus - Benedictus - Agnus Dei) for contralto, tenor, choir & orchestra, form the different expressions of a prayer of thanksgiving for the message of Christ who has invited us for more than 2000 years to love our neighbor, to welcome the stranger, to comfort the afflicted, to forgiveness and to hope for tomorrow : all that should lead us not to contrition but to resilience, and not to domination or withdrawal into oneself, but to welcome, to listening and to solidarity, in short to peace, in ourselves as well as with each other.
